This venue is an extraordinary historical palazzo on the western shore of Lake Como that used to be the main residence of Italy's famous Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio.
Almost a century later, Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini enlarged and embellished this villa, which had become home to a gallant and frivolous society where festivals, banquets, and dances were held intensely.
Since then, the villa has been adorned by successive owners. Currently, this villa occupies over 2 ha with a sumptuous garden, which has been recognized as a British Society of Garden Designers award winning garden, an outdoor pool, a private dock and a boathouse. On the inside are objets d'art and furniture from Sotheby's and Christie's, sourced from the finest collections.
On the walls, still untouched by the passage of time, are magnificent frescoes painted by the Recchi brothers and Agostino Silva during the 17th century. This villa has a history of illustrious splendor, with its unsurpassed blend of natural beauty and manmade splendor.
Jacques Garcia, the renowned interior decorator, has contributed to six luxurious suites,
each designed differently.
There is nothing like the views from the opulent marble bathrooms and the stunning views overlooking Lake Como to convey the highest level of elegance and style.
